Areas we cover
The whole of the UK, one electrician per town
We work with electricians anywhere in the UK, from an office in Wrexham, and we take one electrician per town. That second part is the reason this page exists. It is not a list of places we have heard of; it is how a town is defined, how you find out whether yours is free, and what happens if it is not. The check takes one working day and costs nothing.
How a town is defined
The tier decides what is protected
“One electrician per town” needs a definition of town, or it is a slogan. Ours follows the tiers on the pricing page, so what you are paying for and what is protected are the same thing.
- Local
- Protects the town on your Google Business Profile. One town, one profile, one electrician.
- Growth
- Protects every town we build a page for, agreed in the audit. Usually two to four towns you genuinely work in.
- Multi-area
- Protects each base separately. Two vans in two towns is two protected towns, each checked on its own.
- Cities
- A city is not one town for this purpose. The protected area is written into the audit reply, by district or borough, so it is exact rather than a promise. Nobody has to guess which side of the ring road is theirs.
Where we work
Every region, the same method
Local SEO is done through the profile, the pages and the reviews, none of which needs us to be in your town. What changes between regions is the competition and the drive times, and the audit says what those mean for your timeline.
North West England
Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cumbria. The nearest region to our Wrexham office, and the only one where meeting in person is practical.
North East England and Yorkshire
Tyne and Wear, Durham, Teesside, the Yorkshire counties. Large towns close together, where the profile's service area has to be drawn carefully so it matches the van.
The Midlands
West and East Midlands, from Birmingham and Coventry to Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. Big cities where the protected area is defined in writing, not by the city name.
East of England
Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire. Market towns and commuter towns, often one electrician covering several of them.
London
Not one town for this purpose. The protected area is defined in writing in the audit reply, and it will be a part of London, not the whole of it.
South East England
Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire. Competitive for the planned jobs and worth the wait; we say how long in the audit.
South West England
Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall. Wide service areas and long drives, where the area pages have to reflect where you really go.
Wales
North Wales is home. South and West Wales work the same way from here as anywhere else: profile, pages, reviews.
Scotland
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and the towns between. The profile, the pages and the reviews are the same job; the registers differ, and we check which apply.
Northern Ireland
Belfast and the rest of the province. Same method, same tiers, same one-electrician rule.
- 01
Put your town on the quote form
The form asks for your town and your website. Nothing else is needed for the check, though the audit is better with both.
- 02
Within one working day you get a written answer
Free or taken, in the first line of the reply. If free, the reply also says exactly what the protected area would be for the tier we recommend.
- 03
The town is yours from the first invoice
Not from the enquiry, and not from a verbal yes. Whoever starts first holds it, and holds it for as long as they are a client.
When a town is taken
You hear it first, and we do not sell you second place
The reply says taken, and stops there. We do not name the electrician who holds it. We do not offer you a lighter version of the same work in the same town, because two clients chasing the same searches is a conflict we would have to hide from one of them. We point you to someone we trust if we know one who fits, and if you would like, we note your details so that you hear first if the town frees up. That is a note we keep, not a place we sell.
Why the list is not published
Because it would name our clients
A public list of taken towns is a public list of who works with us, and their competitors would read it first. So the list stays private and the check is done one town at a time, by a person, in writing. It also means the answer you get is today's answer, not a page that was true when it was last updated.
The rest of what you are buying is on why us, and how the map pack itself is won is on the local SEO page.
Questions about areas and towns
Do you work with electricians outside North Wales?
Yes, anywhere in the UK. Local SEO is done through your Google Business Profile, your pages and your reviews, none of which needs us in your town. Where we are matters far less than whether we know the trade and the searches.
I cover three towns. Is that one town or three?
That is the Growth tier, and all three are protected once we have built a page for each. On Local, only the town on your profile is protected. If you want the other two held, they need the work, because a protected town without a page is a promise with nothing behind it.
Can you tell me whether a town is free before I fill in the form?
Ring and ask, and you get the same answer on the phone. The form is quicker because the reply comes with the audit, and the written answer is the one that counts.
What if my town is taken but the next one along is free?
If you genuinely work there, with jobs and ideally reviews from it, we can build for the next town. If you would only be taking it to get a foot in, we say no, because a town page for a place you do not work in is the doorway pattern Google filters.
Check whether your town is free
Put your town and your website on the form. Within one working day you get a written answer on the town, the audit, and a quote. If the town is taken, you hear that in the first line.
