Worked example
Worked example: an electrician's first three months, using numbers from a garage we can show
Worked example. We do not yet have an electrician client with three months of Search Console data, so this page walks through what those months would contain for a domestic and commercial electrician, using the real figures from a remapping specialist in Chester as the reference: a hand-coded site launched in July 2026, Google mobile speed 98 out of 100, third in the map pack by week five, clicks from Google up more than 500%. Those are a garage's numbers, not an electrician's. The first electrician who works with us replaces this page with their own figures, caveats attached.

electrician clients with three months of data. Yet.
The starting point, as it usually is
A sole trader or a two-van firm, NICEIC or NAPIT registered, with a Facebook page, a Checkatrade listing, a Google Business Profile with a handful of reviews and a website that says “all electrical work undertaken”. The searches that pay are specific: “EICR” plus the town, “consumer unit replacement”, “EV charger installer” plus the town, “emergency electrician near me”. The site names none of them.
Month one: build it, then leave it alone
The profile first, because it moves fastest: primary category Electrician, the services listed one by one (EICR and landlord certificates, consumer unit changes, EV charger installation, rewires, fault finding, emergency call-outs), real hours, the registration body named, and the review link on the phone.
Then the site, hand-coded, with a page for each of those jobs and a page for the home town, every page stating the registration and Part P position plainly, because a customer checks it and Google reads it. The reference garage site scores 98 out of 100 on Google's mobile test; we would build and measure an electrician's the same way, and publish the score rather than promise it.
Search Console connected, sitemap submitted, then four weeks of leaving the pages alone. Google has not finished reading a new site in its first month, and we never touch a page that is already earning clicks.
Month two: read the data, then act
This is the month the garage's numbers were earned, so it is the month we can describe most precisely. On 21 August 2026, four weeks after launch, we read Search Console and did five things: redirected a duplicate town page into the homepage because it lost to it on every search, built a page for a nearby town where the searches existed and no competitor wrote for them, published a guide on what decides the price of a remap (no prices in it), rewrote eighteen titles that were being cut off in results, and gave each town page its own areaServed schema.
For an electrician the shape is the same and the subjects change: the guide becomes what decides the price of a consumer unit change or an EICR, the new town page goes wherever the impressions show demand, and the duplicate to remove is usually a “domestic electrician” page competing with the homepage.
Month three: what the figures would look like
By week five the garage was third in the map pack for its main searches, and its clicks from Google were up more than 500% comparing the weeks after launch with the weeks before. For an electrician we would expect the map pack to be slower: most towns have more electricians than remapping specialists, and the leaders have years of reviews. New domains take three to six months for the competitive terms, and a percentage from a standing start looks better than the number of extra jobs behind it. Month three is usually when the report says the map is moving and the organic searches are not yet.
What it would cost the electrician
The fee is on the pricing page, with the minimum term. The time is theirs and it is specific: photos of real boards and real installs, not stock; the registration number and scheme; the towns actually covered, from the van, not from ambition; access to the domain, the Google profile and Search Console; and the review ask at the end of every job, which nobody can do for them. We write every page; they check that it is true.
What we would do differently from the garage
Titles kept inside sixty characters from the first build, so nothing needs rewriting in month two. No separate page for the home town when the homepage already covers it. Search Console connected before launch day, not after.
What replaces this page
The first electrician's real figures, from Search Console, with the dates and the caveats on the same line. Until then this is a worked example and it says so at the top. To be that first case, start with the free audit and quote.
